Fenix Group was created from the reality of working in public accounting for 20 years. Ask anyone working for a large, national CPA firm about the time commitment required to move up in that environment, and the likely response will be “long hours”. After 20 years of working in that exact environment, the founding principal of Fenix Group thought there must be a better way. A way to enjoy making a difference for business owners out there making a difference for their customers. A way to not only help small business owners reach their goals, but to do so in a manner that allows a bookkeeper, accountant or consultant to still have a quality of life not typically seen in other firms.
Fenix Group was born with a focus towards smaller, entrepreneurial or solopreneurial businesses, and our firm is committed to ensuring business owners never lose sleep over their finances. Fenix Group is a bookkeeping, accounting and consulting services firm that provides outsourced solutions for start-ups and small to medium sized businesses across the country. As fellow entrepreneurs and solopreneurs, the Fenix Group team understands the peace of mind that comes from knowing your books are done right, every time. Josh Burkhart
Josh started his career in public accounting working for a large, national CPA firm, progressed to a smaller, regional CPA firm and then ended up back at the same large, national CPA firm where it all started. In those 20 years, his career path in public accounting is considered to most as “coming full circle” and very few public accountants can state they only worked for two CPA firms for an entire 20 year period of time. Now, Josh finds himself gravitating towards smaller, entrepreneurial and solopreneurial businesses where his experience and skill set can be used most effectively helping entrepreneurs and solopreneurs just like him. After all, Fenix Group is a small, entrepreneurial business devoted to providing part-time, effective bookkeeping, accounting and consulting services and solutions to small business owners. Josh exhibits the necessary skills and experience to assist companies, big and small, with their processes by combining accounting and financial expertise with strategic insight to better guide business decisions. Josh calls Indiana home and lives with his wife and two young daughters.
